Images are automatically optimized due to revolutionary model-based exams, enabling the technologist to spend less time pressing buttons to achieve the desired image quality—and more time focusing on patient care.
Another advanced feature is Image Fusion, which enables faster identification of pathology by fusing images from previous CT/MR/PET-CT studies with the live ultrasound images. The Image Fusion feature also results in X-ray dose reduction for patients and staff, as there is less need for repeat CT studies. A patient may have one CT of the abdomen, which can be loaded onto the system and fused with real-time ultrasound for such purposes as following disease progression or evaluating stent implantation.
Additional specialty services include Sonohysterography, 3D Ultrasound and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (for those patients who cannot have an MRI). We excel at Ultrasound-guided Fine Needle Aspiration biopsy, for which our cytology team is present to check the sample and verify collection of enough cells to make an accurate diagnosis.
