Whether it’s a clearly identifiable injury or an everyday ache or pain, the capabilities available from today’s most advanced musculoskeletal imaging technologies and expertise can provide clear answers and guide the next steps in care. In fact, image-guided procedures performed by subspecialists called interventional radiologists can in many cases treat musculoskeletal conditions and injuries to relieve pain and help restore mobility.
Progressive Physician Associates offers a full range of musculoskeletal diagnostic and interventional procedures, performed by radiologists who have undergone extensive fellowship training in musculoskeletal imaging.
The benefit of choosing one of our partner sites for a diagnostic or interventional musculoskeletal procedure extends beyond our state-of-the-art technology and in-depth expertise. Patients also benefit from receiving care from a team committed to delivering an outstanding experience, in facilities built to maximize patient comfort.
We have state-of-the-art plain films, fluoroscopy, CT and MRI equipment to perform specialized musculoskeletal imaging. This includes Metal Artifact Reduction Sequence (MARS) CT for imaging of metallic prostheses. To accommodate claustrophobic patients, we also have a wide bore 1.5 T MR 450W.
We also offer a full array of musculoskeletal ultrasound for specialized musculoskeletal applications such as dynamic imaging of tendons and joints. Commonly performed procedures include shoulder ultrasound for rotator cuff tears, and dynamic hand and wrist imaging.
Interventional procedures that our physicians perform include image-guided arthrograms for precise joint imaging and diagnosis as well as therapeutic joint injections and cyst aspirations to relieve pain and discomfort. Our radiologists will work with the referring physician to tailor the imaging guidance modality to provide the best patient experience. Fluoroscopy, ultrasound and CT are all used as needed.
