DEVICE CLINIC CHECKS

The physicians at Progressive Physicians Associates, Inc. have created a device clinic in order to provide complete cardiac care for their patients. These devices – pacemakers, implantable cardiac defibrillators (ICDS), and implantable loop recorders – are implanted in patients who have problems with the electrical system of the heart.

Patients are followed routinely in our office, trans-telephonically, and remotely using a WEB-based system.

The clinic is managed by Cathy Jo Leiby, R.N. who has more than 35 years of cardiovascular nursing, pacing, and defibrillation experience and is Testamur NASPExAM/AP. She, together with other nurses and technicians, work closely with the cardiologists to care for the patients in the device clinic.
